Bishop Marcus was one of just two Bishops of England and Wales (the other being Archbishop John Wilson) required to attend the second session of the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops in Rome. This was held at the Vatican, with both lay and clergy delegates often working 12-hour days throughout the month of October, discerning and discussing the theme ‘For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation and Mission’.

CAFOD’s local partners worked with Waré’s community to build an underground water tank that now provides safe water for 300 families. Christmas Nativity at St Aelred’s – Would your child like to take part in this year’s nativity at St Aelred’s? All ages welcome and talking and non-talking parts available!
