St Aelred’s Parish BBQ

Thank you for supporting Cafod’s Family Fast Day. Your generous donations will help more children stay in school. Children like Tayla in Zimbabwe, where CAFOD’s local partners worked with her community to install a solar-powered water supply. Now Tayla has access to safe water and nutritious food at school, helping her to keep learning and develop her God-given talents. If you forgot to bring you envelope last week please return it in the offertory collection or donate online at cafod.org.uk/envelope

Will hold their annual appeal on 7/8th November, there will also be a cake stall in the hall after Mass, all welcome,

St Aelred’s Fish and Chip Lunch Monday 26th October 2026 St Aelred’s Hall, All are welcome to come and enjoy fish and chips, mushy peas, tea/coffee, bread & butter and sweets for afters. Come and have some good company and chat. Hall opens 12noon, luncheon served 12.30pm. £8.00 monies to be paid to Tony or Margaret. Week of Guided Prayer – To all who took part in our week of guided prayer and to our prayer guides, hosts and supporters during the week. It was a time of real blessing for us all.

Will take place on Sunday 29th November following 9am Mass. Please consider donating any bottles and raffle prizes to be left at the back of Church. Please sign up on the notice board at the back of Church if you are kindly able to help on a stall. Raffle tickets will be on sale soon, many thanks!

For anyone who is thinking about being received into full communion with the Catholic Church; this maybe yourself or one of your friends. Please contact Deacon David for information about the “Journey in Faith” course that will begin in the Autumn with a hope that participants can be received into the church next Easter.

Are you able to help once every 2 months with serving teas and coffees after 9am Sunday Mass at St Aelred’s? Please contact Fr Gerard or Deacon David if you would like to join this friendly team.
