St Aelred’s Choir: the parish can arrange for organ lessons for someone with existing piano skills (grade 5 and above) who would like to learn to play the organ with a view to playing for occasional Sunday Masses. If this interests you, please speak to Phil or Chris after the 10am Mass.
The Fisher Singers have a Summer Celebration concert on Monday 7th of July at 7.30pm at the Cairn Hotel. Tickets are £10, under 18s £8. Please phone 07411 258713/07958665410r tickets can be purchased on the door. Proceeds to go to Harrogate Homeless project.
Our SVPs collect food for the hungry, can you spare a tin a week for this also some toiletries? These can be left in the boxes at the back of our churches. The Lord tells us to feed the hungry, so thank you all for your donations which are sincerely appreciated.
Saturday 12th July from 11.30 am to 3.45 pm in St. Aelred’s church hall, Woodlands Drive Harrogate HG27BE Speaker is Rev. Olivia Lambert. The title of her talk is ,"The Lord is my shepherd. Exploring the depths of the 23rd Psalm."
St Aelred’s church flower team would gratefully accept flowers from your garden or bought flowers to be used to decorate the church. Please leave donations at the back of church in the bucket marked Flowers.
Friendship Groups: St Aelred’s Friendship Group meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 1.30pm – 3.30pm all most welcome. St Mary’s Friendship Group meet Monday afternoons from 1.30pm to 3pm with refreshments and good cake! All most welcome.
Taking place at Ampleforth College from Friday 22nd - Monday 25th August, the Youth 2000 Summer Festival provides young adults (aged 16-35) from across the UK the opportunity to come together and explore faith, build relationships and find hope. This four day festival includes great speakers, social time, break-out sessions, Daily Mass, 24/7 Adoration and much more! Register at: youth2000.org/events/summerfestival2025 .
St Aelreds Cake Sale 13th July in aid of window blinds for the hall. Please bring cakes for sale either Saturday 12th or on the morning, don’t forget some cash to buy cakes for tea.
Sunday 6th July from 10.30am Please bring your own picnic and blanket, also any family favourite outdoor games. Games list to add to at the back of church.
Mass intentions gratefully received using the brown envelopes in both churches. All Mass intentions must be made via the brown envelopes in the narthex and a cash donation placed in them or use the tab on the Dona machine. Please give at least 2 weeks’ notice to facilitate a special day.
St Mary’s Bed Race Café raised an amazing £1186.85! A very big thank you to all who helped to make the event so memorable.
