Pope Francis R.I.P.
Webmaster • April 25, 2025
Pope Francis leaves behind us a legacy like no other. He was above all a prayerful man of the people. Mass will be celebrated for him at
St Aelred’s on Saturday 26th April at 6pm and
St Mary’s on Sunday 4th May at 10.30am. We are all called to serve and take from his example the call to pray, reflect and be church together. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

Saturday 28th June in St Aelred’s Hall. 10am-3.30pm. A day retreat in the Celtic tradition. Christ asks us not to lock Him away inside the walls of the church, but to follow Him and wash the feet of the world. Andy and Anna Raine of the Northumbrian Community on Lindisfarne will lead the day of prayer, music and scripture. Please bring something for a Shared Table lunch. All most welcome!

Thank you to everyone who signed the petition to “Cancel Debt, Choose Hope” last weekend. It has been sent to CAFOD and will be added to others from Catholic parishes around the world and given to world leaders to encourage them to cancel unfair debts and implement fairer laws.
