Facebook, X, Instagram, text, email, WhatsApp: what makes good and effective communication in our age and how does this influence our mission as Catholic Christians today? Rowan Morton Gledhill, Diocesan Communications Office, will be at St Aelred’s on Tuesday, 20 May at 7pm to explore this with us. All most welcome.

Please join Bishop Marcus in the celebration of Holy Mass to pray for the repose of the soul of His Holiness Pope Francis, Tuesday 29 April 5.30pm, Leeds Cathedral. The venerable tradition of praying the Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be to the Father, followed by “Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord…” is encouraged, especially in our Catholic schools, as is the recitation of the Rosary for the repose of the soul of the deceased Pope.

Pope Francis leaves behind us a legacy like no other. He was above all a prayerful man of the people. Mass will be celebrated for him at St Aelred’s on Saturday 26th April at 6pm and St Mary’s on Sunday 4th May at 10.30am . We are all called to serve and take from his example the call to pray, reflect and be church together. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
