Catholic Safeguarding Standards Agency (CSSA) Survivors’ Survey: As part of a thematic audit of survivor engagement, the CSSA is actively seeking insight from those who have lived experience of abuse and is carrying out a public call for information. This is an opportunity for anybody with information to share with the CSSA (anonymously if you wish). Parish family Film night at St Aelred’s Hall: Friday 19th September 2025, 6.30pm showing “Inside Out 2” Entrance £5 including popcorn and hot dogs.
St Aelred’s Produce Share: If you have surplus fruit, veg, homemade jams, chutneys etc please consider sharing with the parish. There is a table at the back of the church to leave your produce. Please help yourselves to any produce, if you feel the need to make a monetary donation there is a bowl to put it in. All donations will be shared between the SVP and CAFOD. Thank you for your support.
St Aelred’s church & grounds clean/tidy up - Sat 20.09.2025 12 Noon -3pm. All hands to the deck! A range of tasks both indoors and outdoors for all – from clearing weeds, to mopping, sweeping and polishing.

St Aelred’s late summer Fair will take place on Saturday 6th September from 2-4.30pm. We need lots of bottles – particularly wine and spirits, chocolates for the tombola, Hampers and vouchers. Please bring them to church as soon as possible and we will store them in a cool secure place. Home baking and preserves gratefully received on the day and lots of help.
Deanery Day of Renewal Saturday 13th September 11.30am to 3.45 pm in St. Aelred’s church hall. Speaker is Fr. Chris Thomas. The theme of his talk is “Human and Alive.

St Aelred’s and St Mary’s church flower teams would gratefully accept flowers from your garden or bought flowers to be used to decorate the church. Please leave donations at the back of church in the bucket marked Flowers.
St Mark’s way on the national jubilee pilgrimage of hope begins on Saturday, 6th September with 8am Mass at Leeds Cathedral.
