The CAFOD Chocolate raffle raised £190.00. Thank you to all who took part and all who arranged the raffle. There will be a meeting in the
St Aelred’s hall on Monday 19th May at 7pm led by the CAFOD group to discuss the “Live Simply Award”. We need your ideas, energy and imagination, so please join us if you can.

Fishy Luncheon Monday 9th June. All welcome to come and enjoy fish &chips, mushy peas, coffee/tea, bread & butter and afters, as well as some good chat. Hall opens 12 noon, luncheon served 12.30pm. £6.00 monies to be paid to Tony or Margaret. Please put your names on the list at the back of St Aelreds church or phone Tony on 07912790773.

Saturday 28th June in St Aelred’s Hall. 10am-3.30pm. A day retreat in the Celtic tradition. Christ asks us not to lock Him away inside the walls of the church, but to follow Him and wash the feet of the world. Andy and Anna Raine of the Northumbrian Community on Lindisfarne will lead the day of prayer, music and scripture. Please bring something for a Shared Table lunch. All most welcome!

Following the Bishop’s recent Pastoral letter, this is a reminder that any man who is even remotely thinking about a vocation to the priesthood is invited to meet with Bishop Marcus and the Vocations Promotion Team. Hinsley Hall, Pentecost Sunday, 8 June, 2pm lasting about an hour, including prayers/talks/Q&A. Under 18s must be accompanied by parent/guardian.
