Christmas Nativity at St Aelred’s – Would your child like to take part in this year’s nativity at St Aelred’s? All ages welcome and talking and non-talking parts available! The nativity will be carried out during the 9am Mass on Christmas day. Deanery day of renewal. Saturday 8th November 11.30 am to 3.45 pm in St. Aelred’s church hall, Speaker is Jones Bediako. The theme of his talk is “Suffering in Christ.” Until recently Jones was a member of the National service team for Catholic Charismatic Renewal and is chairperson of the Leeds Diocesan service team
St Aelred’s annual Christmas Fair will take place on Sunday 30th November following 9am Mass. We need donations of bottles, chocolate and cakes on the day. The annual raffle tickets are on sale this weekend.

Thank you for supporting CAFOD’s Family Fast Day! Your donations in our parish collection and online are helping families like Waré’s in Ethiopia. CAFOD’s local partners worked with Waré’s community to build an underground water tank that now provides safe water for 300 families. Fishy Luncheon Tuesday 28th October. All welcome to come and enjoy fish and chips, mushy peas, coffee/tea, bread and butter and sweets for afters, as well as some good chat. Friendship Groups: St Mary’s Friendship Group meet Monday afternoons from 1.30pm to 3pm with refreshments and good cake! All most welcome. St Aelred’s Friendship Group meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 1.30pm – 3.30pm all most welcom
